Kilburn Loft The brief called for a bright bedroom with en-suit bathroom in a previously dark space. The separating wall was removed and ceiling joists supported enabling the installation of a “reglit” glass channelated partition to divide the space. This intervention allows light from the existing window to the front to connect with the new bathroom window to the rear, allowing light to travel through the space from sun up to sun down. A 'wet floor' arrangement was used in the bathroom removing the need for any shower partitioning.
